I wrote this poem about Christmas Eve, which is very magical for me since Germans celebrate the main aspects of Christmas on this day. I hope you enjoy it and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I wake up very early on Christmas Eve,
I am way too excited to catch my zzz's.
I spend the day snacking on chocolate and cake,
And eat a bunch of cookies that my grandma baked.
I go to church to pray,
And thank God for this wonderful day.
Then the car ride home seems way too long,
To pass the time I sing Christmas songs.
Once at home I run up to the glowing tree,
And tear open the first present that I see.
Once opening presents is done,
We sit down for dinner; yum!
It is so merry on Christmas Eve,
It will be perfect if you just believe.
