At the beginning of a badminton game you toss the birdie in the air,
Figuring out who gets to serve first is only fair.
As your opponent hits the birdie towards you,
You hit it back over the net, not through.
You go back and forth like this for a while,
Until you win a point that makes you smile.
This makes you happy and you hope to win the game,
And receive a trophy engraved with your name.
