A Trip To The Beach

Splashing in the clear, refreshing water,

Escaping the sizzling sun that keeps on getting hotter.

Leaping onto the endless strip of grainy sand,

Feeling like you are on vacation in a temporary dreamland.

The hot sand starts burning your feet,

So you dive back into the water in an attempt to elude the heat.

As you let the gnarly waves wash over your body,

You become aware of a lonely growling in your tummy.

But you put an end to this problem immediately,

Since you manage to demolish a large chunk of watermelon that is very juicy.

Now that your hunger is settled, you are ready for the fun to begin,

And you start building a sandcastle with a big grin.

Adding details to you sandcastle makes it look pretty,

And you do this by including seashells that are dainty.

Once your masterpiece is done and your heart is filled with pride,

You get ready for the way home, which is such a lengthy car ride.

Now your relaxing trip to the beach is over,

But the memory will stay in your heart forever.
