A Car Ride

It seems kind of boring to ride in the car,
Especially when your destination is very far.
Trying to pass the time,

Listening to music sounds just fine.

Looking at the different license plates,
And checking out the gasoline rates.
Striving to fall asleep,
Though it is not very comfortable in the backseat.
Fed up with sitting in the car for so long,
Why don't we all sing a joyful song.
Soon the only songs that are left are lame,
So everyone starts to play a game.
After awhile you put away the chess set,
Thinking "are we finally there yet?"
